Fees effective March 1, 2014

  • $50 (resident) Yoga Pass (excludes all other group fitness classes)
  • $50 (resident) Group Fitness Pass (excludes Yoga)
  • $60 (resident) Unlimited Monthly Pass
  • $10 Drop-in
  • $5 Drop-in Silver & Gold Classes

Cancellations

When Northville Public Schools are closed due to weather, morning fitness classes are cancelled.  Decisions regarding evening classes are made at 4:00pm.

For everyone’s safety, we cannot allow children under the age of 13 to attend Group Fitness classes, even if they are accompanied by an adult. Please arrange childcare in advance of attending fitness classes. Thank you for your cooperation!

Please note that when classes are scheduled back-to-back, each class will end 5 minutes early to accommodate the transition between classes.

Purchase a monthly pass and attend as many classes as you like!

We reserve the right to cancel, alter, or make location & instructor changes to any class at any time for reasons that may include, but not limited to, scheduling, participant & instructor safety, space availability, instructor illness, emergency. General Information

What: Entertaining and Challenging Adult Group Fitness classes that will give you the results you want! Enjoy all of the benefits of exercising with friends without the commitment of a gym membership or the restrictions of a limited-time offer. Discover your favorite way to get into shape, stay fit and have fun while doing it!

Where: Northville Community Center, 303 W. Main Street

When: Classes are offered 7 days a week at different times to fit your schedule. Pick up a monthly schedule or download the calendar on-line.

Prices: Drop-in fee ($10 for 1 hour classes/$5 for 30 minutes & Senior Classes). Monthly resident
pass options are available

What else do I need to know? Our elite and knowledgeable staff motivates you while making
sure you are performing safe and fun exercises that will get you to your goals. All instructors carry current fitness certification and CPR/AED training Come join the fun, stay motivated and enjoy the best part of exercise - team work!  Questions? Class Descriptions

TRX, TRX Circuit, Tabata TRX The TRX Suspension Trainer is the original, best-in-class workout system that leverages gravity and your bodyweight to perform hundreds of exercises. You're in control of how much you want to challenge yourself on each exercise because you can simply adjust your body position to add or decrease resistance.. Used by celebrities like Jennifer Lopez, Gisele Bundchen, and Scarlett Johansson, it’s incredibly effective for total body conditioning and toning. 20 second high intensity bursts with 10 seconds rest. Workout set to motivating music. It’s never the same workout and time really flies! This class features high intensity cardio, paired with the TRX suspension training system.
   
Women on Weights Tone up and increase strength and flexibility in this resistance training class. Perfect for the active adult looking for an intermediate strength training workout. This is a 45 minute class. Bring your own free weights to this class.
   
Barre & Barre Blend Achieve a total body workout targeted at the areas of the body women struggle with most: seat, hips, thighs, abs, & arms. Each workout is designed to strengthen and stretch you, which will help you achieve a long, lean, and toned physique. Experience firsthand why super-toned celebs like Kelly Ripa and Natalie Portman (used to prepare for Black Swan) love this workout! Barre Blend is a high energy, up‐tempo barre class, blended with pilates mat work with the addition of strength training using light weights and TRX.
   
Power Barre This vigorous, high energy class is an intense and fun blending of Vinyasa flow yoga and Barre, set to upbeat music. You’ll warm up with 35 minutes of Vinyasa flow (3 flows with some core work) and then 15-20 minutes of Barre. We’ll wrap the practice with a cool down and savasana. Students will have the opportunity to flow on their own, as well as be guided by the instructor. Bring a water bottle, mat, towel and the intention to have fun and go with the FLOW !
   
Pilates This class is designed to shape the body through core strengthening exercises. You will notice improved posture and tension reduction with the flowing movements of this class.
   
Zumba, Zumba Gold Zumba comes packed with dance moves inspired by Latin and African rhythms to help you experience a party-like environment while you work out! Zumba Gold & Tone is just as much fun as Zumba, but low impact. Bring your own free weights to Zumba Gold & Tone.
   
Yin Yoga Yin yoga is a restorative yoga practice that incorporates blocks and bolsters for maximum support and relaxation. Posses are held for an extended period of time to achieve the ultimate release and restoration of the muscles. This class is essential for anyone with tightness around the hips, knees , back, neck and shoulders! Renew your body and your spirit with this deeply relaxing class. We highly recommend bringing a blanket to this class.
   
Slow Flow This class is a slower paced, meditative flow-style class, where you have the opportunity to connect deeply to each posture. Take the time to focus internally, aligning, and really connecting to your pranayama breathing. The last part of the class will focus on yin-based asanas that will help to release tension and tightness in the muscles and the mind.
   
Slow Burn Slower progressive sequences to longer holding postures, your entire body and mind will be brought into balance in this intense, yet calming class.
   
Hatha Various sequences of asanas, designed to align your joints, muscles, and bones. The postures are also designed to open the many channels of the body—especially the main channel, the Intro to Vinyasa This class will teach the basics of vinyasa in a fun and unintimidating way. Discover the freedom that the vinyasa practice can bring and the beauty and creativity of blending asanas in various forms. Perfect for beginners. Set to upbeat music. Come with an open mind and enthusiasm!
   
Yoga for Healthy Perfect for those who sit for long periods of time frequently, cycle, run, or just tight in these important areas.
   
Vinyasa A dynamic series of sequenced postures that flow together designed to build great internal heat in order to purify the body with postures done at the measure of your own breath, set to upbeat music. Students will be cued and then flow on their own.
   
Power Flow This vinyasa‐based class incorporates the traditional 3 vinyasa flows with more intense core work, standing postures to really “build the internal fire”. We’ll focus on increasing our breath, meditation and creating a stronger practice through longer holding postures between flows.
   
Silver Yoga & Beyond Take your practice to the next level. This class will NOT use chairs and will require floor work! Perfect for the more agile Silver exerciser who is looking for a more advanced yoga practice.
   
Silver Yoga Yoga is a core conditioning class that enhances our range of motion, improve balance and keep us both mentally and physically fit. This class uses mats and chairs.
   
Silver Strength I & II Designed for the older, active exercisers! Silver Strength focuses on toning our muscles to prevent injury and improve bone density. Silver Strength I is less strenuous and uses chairs. Silver Strength II is more advanced and does not use chairs. Please choose the appropriate class for your needs.
