How do I register?

Registrations are accepted by fax, mail or in person. You can also now register online.  Telephone registrations are not accepted.  To register by fax, the registration form must be completed, including the activity number and participant’s name. Fax number is 248-380-8611.  Read more about Registration here.

Registration payment may be made by cash, personal check, or MasterCard/VISA. To use a personal check, a current driver’s license is required. Checks are made payable to: Northville Recreation.

What are the Parks and Recreation Department office hours?

The Parks and Recreation Department office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00am - 4:30pm.

Where is the office to register in person?

The Parks and Recreation office is located within the Recreation Center at the rear of Hillside Middle School, 700 W. Baseline (corner of Eight Mile and Center). Parking for our office is near the tennis courts and near the City of Northville water tower. Access to our offices through the Hillside Middle School entrances is NOT available.

Back To TopCan I participate if I am not a Northville resident?

Non-residents may participate in Northville Parks and Recreation activities. Non-resident fees for classes are $10 over the listed base price. Non-resident registrations are accepted a minimum of two days after resident registration, allowing Northville residents preference.

What if my child is younger or older than the class description allows?

Generally, our instructors select the age ranges for our classes based on the material taught that is appropriate for that age group. Occasionally, an instructor may allow a child who is close (1-2 months) from the age group listed to participate, however the instructor has total discretion. You may inquire at the Parks and Recreation Department office.

Will my class or activity be held during inclement weather?

Contact the Parks and Recreation weather hotline at (248) 449-9951 or check this website at for activity cancellations due to inclement weather. Except in severe weather or power outages, department buildings will remain open for use, but some classes/services may be cancelled.

Back To TopWhat is the refund procedure?

Our Refund Policy is:

  • If the Department cancels, the participant will receive a full refund.
  • If the participant cancels before the beginning of the first class, the participant will receive a full refund minus a $15 processing fee.
  • If the participant cancels after the first class, the participant will receive 50% of the class fee.
  • If the participant cancels after the second class, the participant will not receive a refund.

Please note the following:

  • Tickets and activity fees for all special events, concerts, excursions and one-day activities are non-refundable.
  • Missing any portion of a class or event due to vacation, schedule conflict or other non-emergency situation is non-refundable.  The Department reserves the right to cancel any activity based on insufficient enrollment or other conditions beyond our control.
  • A refund check will be issued and mailed to the person who made the payment within 3 weeks of the request.

Can I register at the first class?

Registration forms and payment must be received by the Parks and Recreation Department prior to the first class. Our program instructors are not equipped to process registrations.

How can I find out what team my child is on?

The Youth Soccer and Youth Baseball Programs are administered by volunteer parent organizations. Team roster information can be obtained by contacting the commissioner of your child’s age group for either sport.

The Youth Basketball Program is administered by the Parks and Recreation Department. Team roster information can be obtained by contacting our office at 248-349-0203.
